Ceramic Fritting is a process by which glass enamel
is fused on the glass surface. Before the glass is heat strengthened or tempered, Ceramic frit is applied to the glass through a fine mesh screen with glass enamel. After tempering or heat strengthening, the glass enamel becomes a permanent coating which cannot be further damaged or removed by cleaning, scrubbing, etc. Silk-screening is done by printing a layer of ceramic ink on the glass surface through a screen mesh. When silk-screened glass is combined with clear, tinted, Low-E, or reflective glass, it can control light transmittance and reduce solar heat gain while enhancing aesthetic and performance characteristics. Though normally suitable for IGUs, silk-screened glass can be used for both exterior and interior applications. When used on building exteriors, the painted surface must be protected from direct contact with the environment.
Back painted glass is a unique use of glass that has been growing in popularity in recent years.
It is essentially exactly what it sounds like- glass that has been painted on the back side. That way, from the front side, the glass is no longer translucent, but instead a solid color.
Double insulating glass is highly effective in reducing heat and stopping unwanted sound transmission. It can help to reduce the level of noise and energy consumption in common you can have a Low-E Clear Glass 6+6+6, which is 6mm glass.
In this, you can choose:
– Annealed Glass: either one or both
– Tempered Glass: either on or both recommended both tempered
– Laminated Glass:either one or both recommended at least one laminated
Clear Glass:either one or both
Reflected or Coated Glass:
Recommeneded one refelected or coated preferably outside glass and on surfce two (mirror surface).
In Laminated glasses you can use annealed or tempered but more recommended is tempered, for annealed glasses you can laminate with a single layer of PVB (polyvinylbutral) of 0.38mm. thickness and it comes only in one thickness if needed more one of the main purpose of using laminated Glass to prevent furniture or other things from Ultraviolet rays of sun and it is much effective in blocking UV up to 98%. to laminating tempered glasses you must use at least 0.76mm (two layers) but generally used is 1.14 or 1.52 mm thicknesses.
More layers makes more stronger and durable you have choice of number of different colors in PVB sheets transparent, white, blue, green and bronze etc.,
Glasses can be tempered from 4mm to 19 mm thickness. Tempered is done in furnace at a temperature of 680 deg. It makes 1-4 times stronger & strengthens. After tempering glass become more durable and safe. When broken, it shatters into many small fragments which prevent major injuries. This type of glass is intended for facades, sliding doors, building entrances, bath and shower enclosures and other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.

The Bullet resisting glasses made by laminating alternating layers of glass and PVB interlayer to form a single multiple-ply glass laminate. This combination works because the glass layers smash and flatter the bullet, absorbing the shock of impact. The interlayer holds the glass together keeping the glazing unit integral to some extent absorbing the impact energy. The minimum thickness of Bullet resisting glass is 25mm in which you can have 12mm+PVB+12mm or 8mm+pvb+8mm+pvb+8mm shown in the diagram below. The more layers makes stronger and the maximum thickness you can have up to 65mm.

—- HEAT SOAK TEST
Heat soaking is a testing process carried out in the manufacturing stage of glass, used to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage in architectural glazing.
COATED GLASS & Low-E, or low-emissivity, glass was created to minimize the amount of infrared and ultraviolet light that comes through your glass, without minimizing the amount of light that enters your home. Low-E glass windows have a microscopically thin coating that is transparent and reflects heat.
Windshields
protect the vehicle’s occupants from wind and flying debris such as dust, insects, and rocks. a critical safety requirement.
TEMPERED GLASS
the window glass Design shattering into small, non-harmful pieces when broken. Widely used in vehicles, trucks.
